Purpose

Children and Families has a contract in place
with ‘The Appropriate Adult Service’ (TAAS) for the
delivery of the  West Yorkshire
Appropriate Adult Service with Leeds being the lead
authority.  A market sounding exercise
was undertaken in December 2024.
Leeds City Council’s annual contribution
is approximately £47,365.00 for each of the 3 years
commencing on the 1st of April 2025 until 31st March 2028, with a 2
x 12 month option to extend which is not guaranteed. The overall
annual contract value is approximately £110,557 per annum
with the overall contract value of approximately
£552,785.
This decision therefore will seek the
authority to procure a full competitive tender or join a framework
if there is one available in the region.
