Purpose

The Chief Officer, Highways &
Transportation is requested to:
A.  Note the A64 Bus
Priority Improvements scheme is a proposed set of measures to
enhance bus priority and improve the walking and cycling
environment along the A64 York Road corridor by constructing new
bus priority and cycle segregation between Raincliffe Rdon the edge
of the city centre and Sherburn Rd flyover in Whinmoor;
B.  The report is
seeking approval to advertise and subject to objections seal new
Traffic Regulation Orders, seek approval of the designs and seek
authority to tender for the construction of the scheme.
