The Director of Adults and Health approved the
modification of the contract ‘Day Services For Younger People
With Dementia’ held by Inspire North, ref: DN252936, under
Regulation 72(1)(b) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015
(PCRs). The effect of the modification is to:
i. Extend the contract by 18 months, from 1st October 2025 to 31st
March 2027, at the price of £439,032 for the extension period
(ie. 18 months at £292,688Kpa). This represents an efficiency
saving of £32Kpa (9.9%) with effect from 1st October 2025,
achieved by reducing higher-cost elements of the service
specification.
ii. Council will consider uplift to contract price for April 2026
through its annual provider fee uplift process.
B. Note the intention to seek authority for a competitive
procurement process to be held during 2026, in time to select a
provider for this service under a new contract from April 2027.
This timeline allows the current provider to manage and embed the
changes associated with a £32K efficiency saving, prior to
retendering.
