Purpose

LAHF Round 3 provides further capital grant of
£450m over two years to support local authorities to provide
sustainable housing for those unable to secure their own
accommodation funded via the Ministry of Housing, Communities and
Local Government (MHCLG).

Content

The Chief Housing Officer:
 

Accepted the Ministry of Housing,
Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) capital grant which will
part fund the acquisition and refurbishment costs for 16 homes
under Round 3 of the LAHF scheme. 

 

Accepted the MHCLG revenue grant
which will be used towards the council’s costs to deliver the
scheme. 

 

Supports the purchase of 13 larger
(4/4+ bed) properties under the resettlement scheme element and
three standard size (2/3 bed) properties for general needs homeless
families. 

 

Supports the injection of funds into
the HRA Council Housing Growth capital programme and provided
Authority To Spend to enable the purchase of the 16 homes within
the scheme.
