Purpose
Leeds 400 is an opportunity for Leeds to
celebrate a major milestone in its history during 2026. On the
13th July 2026, it will be 400 years since Leeds was
granted its first ever Royal Charter by King Charles I. There is an
opportunity to work together with partners across the city to
celebrate the achievements of Leeds following its Royal Charter but
also the city today – its people, its organisations and its
