Full council record
Purpose

Brief Description

The current community
care beds contract expires on 30th June 2026. Adults and
Health intend to submit a bid for the new community beds contract
due to commence 1st July 2026.

Impact On Wards

The current and (if
successful) future community beds service is city wide. However,
the service is delivered from three main LCC bases located in
Beeston & Holbeck, Otley & Yeadon, Killingbeck &
Seacroft wards.

Financial and
procurement implications

Current costs are
being reviewed by finance in response to the financial envelope for
the bid, including any allowance made for inflationary cost across
the contract period. A decision will be required to be made if we
cannot achieve the service within the cost envelope.

Partnership
working

LCC Adults and Health
and Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust have jointly delivered
short-term community beds since 2017. The new bid will describe the
intention to build further upon this partnership with a further
integrated offer.
