The Chief Officer for Economy and
Skills:
• Agreed to sign “Connect to work side letter
“required by Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to confirm
Leeds as an additional delivery area member” and secure the
funding into West Yorkshire
• Accepted the grant funding agreement to the value of
£5,406,273 from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and
authorise the Council to sign the grant funding agreement.
• Authorised a competitive procurement, total value up to
£3,567,300 to contract multiple suppliers to deliver
specialist employment support to people who are eligible for the
programme.
• Approved the delivery and spend of up to £1,838,973 to
deliver internal provision and for appropriate administrative and
project management of all delivery in Leeds. Accountability for
delivery of the outputs and outcomes would stay with the
Council.
