The authority is required to establish an
Independent Remuneration Panel (IRP) to make recommendations to the
authority on the Members’ Allowances Scheme. The authority
has four members currently serving on the panel with three of those
Members in 2022 having their term of office extended to 24th May
2026.
One of the Panel Members has a term of office that is inconsistent
to the others and is set to expire in June 2024.
This decision is to extend that individuals term of office by a
further 2 years to end on 24th May 2026 (to ensure consistency with
the other Panel Members).

The Panel Member concerned remains qualified to continue in the
role and as such a decision has been taken to extend the term of
appointment for the Independent Remuneration Panel Member as
follows:
