Purpose

This report seeks approval for the Kirkgate
Market Strategy 2026-2031 which sets out the direction of the
market over the next five years. The report also highlights
progress made during the life of the previous Market Strategy
including increased business occupiers, footfall and events and
activities that take place within it, as well as the capital
investment undertaken and planned. The report sets out why we need
a Market Strategy and consultation undertaken during the
development of the 2026-2031 Strategy.
