Purpose

Decarbonisation and Planned Maintenance are looking to undertake an above threshold open procedure to establish a closed framework for the delivery of Fire Risk Assessments and associated works.  The framework will be divided into the following 2 lots:

Lot 1 – Fire Stopping and Passive Fire Protection works.  The proposal is to appoint up to 5 contractors to a 3-year closed framework with the option to extend by 1 further period of 12 months (3+1).  The estimated value of the contract is up to £2.5m per annum (or up to £10m should the extension be utilised). 

Lot 2 – Fire Alarm System Design and Commissioning works.  The proposal is to appoint up to two contractors to a 3-year closed framework with the option to extend by 1 further period of 12 months (3+1).  The estimated value of the contract is up to £500,000 per annum (or up to £2m should the extension be utilised).

Decision

The decision maker intends to approve the recommendations set out in the report attached with effect from the decision date.
