The Chief Officer (Highways and
Transportation) was requested to instruct the City Solicitor to
apply to the Magistrates’ Court for a Stopping Up Order under
Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 for the area of adopted
highway as shown hatched red on drawing SD/217960/Z249/01 following
the grant of planning application 14/01231/FU; and

approve the adoption of new highway construction on land hatched
blue on drawing number SD/217960/Z249/01 at Appendix A of this
report so that it can be added to the Council’s maintenance
regime.
