Purpose

The Director of Strategy and Resources is
requested to approve the competitive tender procurement activity to
establish a contract for the installation of fire doors in domestic
and civic properties. The council is seeking to appoint up to two
contractors to carry out the works required for a period of 2 years
with the option to extend up to a further 3 x 12 months. The
estimated value of the contract per annum is £220,000 with an
overall spend of £1.1 million including extensions.

In accordance with the
Council’s Contract Procedure Rule (CPR) 3.1.7, the Director
of Strategy and Resources approved a procurement to appoint up to
two contractors to support LBS in their delivery of fire door
installation to domestic and civic properties as part of responsive
maintenance and repairs. The contract is proposed for a period of 3
years, with the option to extend by 2 x 12 months, and the annual
estimated spend is £220,000, providing a total estimated
contract value of up to £1.1 million including all potential
extensions.
