Purpose
Seeking approval to carry out a procurement exercise in relation
to Commercial heating activities to replace Heat Interface units in
each flat of each of the blocks, update radiator valves and
insulation which all run off commercial boilers in the following
multi storey blocks:-

Cottingley Heights & Towers
Content
a) In
accordance with the CPR 3.1.7 the Director of Communities, Housing
& Environment gave approval to
undertaking a procurement exercise to appoint a contractor via a
mini competition using Lot 4 of the Heating & Renewables
Framework provider by Fusion21 Members Consortium. The scheme of
works is proposed to start in January 2024 and will be completed by
November 2024. The estimated construction value of the works is
£2.8 million.
b) The
Director of Communities, Housing and Environment granted authority
to spend £2.8 million to deliver these works.
c) The
Director of Communities, Housing and Environment approved the
injection of £1.4m of grant funding (Heat Network Efficiency
Scheme (HNES)) to the Housing Revenue Account in order to aid the
procurement of a contractor to undertake the works outlined in this
report.
