Purpose

LAHF Round 2 provides further capital grant of
£250m to support local authorities to provide sustainable
housing for those unable to secure their own accommodation funded
via the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities
(DLUHC).

TheChief HousingOfficer:

a) 
Granted approval to supportthe council’s
planto providea further 11 homesunder theLocal AuthorityHousing
Fund Round 2 and toaccept theDepartment forLevelling Up,Housing
andCommunities (DLUHC) grantof £1,188,000 whichwill partfund
theacquisition costs.

b) 
Granted approval tosupport the purchase of tenproperties under
the resettlement scheme element.

c) 
Granted approval tosupport the purchase of one
propertyto be allocated to a household under the temporary
accommodation element.

d) 
Granted approval to inject and give Authority to
Spend for a total of £2.97m into the HRA Council
HousingGrowth capital programme to fund the 11
acquisitions.
