Purpose

LAHF Round 2 provides further capital grant of £250m to support local authorities to provide sustainable housing for those unable to secure their own accommodation funded via the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC).

Decision

TheChief HousingOfficer:

a)  Granted approval to supportthe council’s planto providea further 11 homesunder theLocal AuthorityHousing Fund Round 2 and toaccept theDepartment forLevelling Up,Housing andCommunities (DLUHC) grantof £1,188,000 whichwill partfund theacquisition costs.

b)  Granted approval tosupport the purchase of tenproperties under the resettlement scheme element.

c)  Granted approval tosupport the purchase of one propertyto be allocated to a household under the temporary accommodation element.

d)  Granted approval to inject and give Authority to Spend for a total of £2.97m into the HRA Council HousingGrowth capital programme to fund the 11 acquisitions.
