Purpose

The Director of Strategy and Resources is requested to approve the procurement of a new contract to undertake works relating to electrical periodic domestic testing to Council housing stock within the South and East of the City.

Decision

In accordance with the Council’s Contracts Procedure Rule 3.1.7, the Director of Strategy & Resources has approved a procurement strategy based on an estimated annual contract spend of £700,000 to appoint up to 3 contractors to undertake electrical domestic testing, to the Council’s housing stock located throughout the city.

The Director has noted that the approval to evaluate tenders using the price-quality separated approach in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 15.2(a) will be sought from the Head of Leeds Building Services as required under Contract Procedure Rule 15.1.

Approval has been given to award the contract for an initial 24-month period, with the option to extend for up to 12 months, with an estimated total contract value of up to £2,100,000.
