In respect of Wessex Archaeology, the Chief
Officer, Highways and Transportation was recommended to approve the
waiver of the following Contracts Procedure Rule(s),

a) To approve the waiver of Contracts Procedure Rules No 9.1 and
9.2 – High Value Procurements.

b) To approve the award of a contract to Wessex Archaeology in the
sum of £125,273 (excl VAT) for specialist archaeological
services. The contract would commence in August 2023 and be
completed 18 to 24 months later.
