Decision

The Chief Officer Asset Management & Regeneration has:
a) Approved the completion of a formal competitive tender exercise for the selection of a construction contractor to deliver the Queen Street pedestrianised area public realm and scheme and Commercial Street highway upgrade works via Lot 2 (£150k -£4m) of the Highways and Transportation Minor Framework.
b) Approved the procurement methodology and evaluation and scoring criteria set out in this report.
c) Noted, the works are subject to a funding grant from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government and has a target grant spend date of end of March 2028. The project is currently targeting completion and handover in-line with these grant funding parameters, and in consultation with the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government.
d) Noted, this report does not constitute a financial commitment to the Authority. A future ‘Design Cost Report and Tender Acceptance Report’ will follow upon completion of the tender exercise, detailed herein, should an appropriately qualified bid be selected.
