The Assistant City Mayor - Environment and Transport approved the implementation of a 20mph zone in the Heacham Drive Area on 23 July 2026. The decision also approved the advertisement of the 20mph Speed Limit Order and traffic calming measures required for the scheme.

The City Mayor approved the disposal of the ground lease interest of the Holiday Inn, St Nicholas Circle, Leicester for £1.8m plus a £20,000 contribution towards professional fees on 15 July 2026. The Director of Estates and Building Services approved the valuation, and the City Barrister and Head of Standards Division will prepare the necessary documentation.

The City Mayor approved the addition of £4 million to Leicester City Council's capital programme for a capital grant to Leicestershire County Council and a further £4 million for the Heart of Leicester programme on 18 August 2026. The remaining Growing Places Fund balance of approximately £2.275 million will be retained for future economic development and regeneration initiatives.
