The motion was MOVED by the Mayor, SECONDED by
Councillor Rathbone and
with Councillors Shrivastava and Tam
abstaining, it was RESOLVED that the
Council agrees:
1.That the basic allowance of £12,792 be
increased by 3.2% to £13,201 with effect
from 1st April 2025;
2. That all existing Special Responsibility
Allowances (SRAs) be increased by 3.2%
with effect from 1st April 2025;
3. The Monitoring Officer be instructed
to:
a. review the Council’s current
allowances against the most recent report of the Independent
Remuneration Panel and to bring a report to a future meeting of the
Council, and
b. take any steps necessary to implement this
decision.
