RESOLVED:
Mayor and Cabinet
• Approved the commencement of the statutory process to revoke the existing Smoke Control Orders for separate wards within the London Borough of Lewisham.
• Approved the commencement of the statutory process to declare a new borough wide Smoke Control Order Area within the London Borough of Lewisham that includes smoke from moored vessels within the scope of the provisions.
• Delegated authority to the Executive Director for Place, in consultation with the Director of Law and Corporate Governance, to undertake all steps necessary to progress the revocation and declaration process, including publication of statutory notices, consideration of objections, submission to the Secretary of State where required and the making and bringing into force of the relevant Orders following completion of the statutory process.
