Regulatory and Licensing Committee

The Lichfield Regulatory and Licensing Committee is responsible for a wide range of licensing and regulatory functions. This includes overseeing Hackney Carriage and Private Hire vehicle licensing, gambling permits, food business registrations, and other miscellaneous licensing activities as defined by regulations. The committee also handles matters related to public rights of way, health and safety enforcement (outside of the council's employer capacity), and functions concerning elections, local area status, and the power to create or amend bylaws.
