Purpose

The Council is required to have an enforcement policy that guides stakeholders to the approach that officers will take in terms of regulating businesses and enforcing the law. 

Decision

That the cabinet member approves the adoption of the draft enforcement policy.

That the cabinet member approves that the Regulation & Enforcement Manager, in conjunction with the Chair of the Regulatory & Licensing Committee, be permitted to introduce annexes to the enforcement policy where specific policy is required for a particular function, providing any annex conforms to the overarching enforcement policy.
