Purpose

In January 2023 Lichfield
District Council commissioned the services of Building Design
Partnership Ltd (BDP) to carry out services to deliver a district
wide design code. Due to additional activities and a longer
programme of work than first anticipated extending from the
completion date of December 2023 to approximately May 2024, BDP
have requested additional fees be paid by Lichfield District
Council on top of the original contract cost of £79,315.
Lichfield District Council have negotiated to pay
£25,000.

Decision

The Cabinet Member for Housing and Local Plan
approved the details within the contract variation and agreed the
additional £25,000 to be paid to BDP for the services related
to the production of the Design Code.
