Purpose

The Council is required to set
out the proposed timetable to produce our local plan through a
document called the Local Development Scheme (LDS).  Following the publication of the revised National
Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) on 12 December 2025, the Ministry
of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) requested
all local planning authorities to review and update their LDS and
submit these to government by 6 March 2025.   Officers have reviewed the local plan
timetable including consideration of the implications for the
timetable from the revisions to the NPPF. Following this review a
revised timetable has been prepared and set out within the Local
Development Scheme 2025

Decision

Approve the publication of the Local
Development Scheme 2025 and the submission of the document to
government by 6 March 2025.
