Purpose

Mavesyn Ridware Parish Council
have prepared a neighbourhood plan for their area. The Mavesyn
Ridware neighbourhood plan as progressed through all the required
stages of development. Following independent examination, it was
concluded that the Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood plan should
proceed to referendum.
 
The referendum was held on
Thursday 13 February 2025. Of those who voted, 82% voted in favour
of the neighbourhood plan. Following such a vote the district
council is required to ‘make’ (or adopt) the
neighbourhood plan so that it forms part of the development plan
for the area (the designated Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood area)
within eight weeks of the result of the referendum.
 
The purpose of this report is
to formally ‘make’ (or adopt) the Mavesyn Ridware
Neighbourhood Plan within the required timeframe.

Decision

That the Cabinet Member for Housing and Local
Plan agrees to the making of the Mavesyn Ridware Neighbourhood
Plan.
That the cabinet member agrees to the
publication of the ‘made’ Mavesyn Ridware Neighbourhood
Plan and the decision statement.
