£75,000 of UK Shared
Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) funding is available in 2025/2026 to fund
capital projects for small businesses, charities and other
organisations to reduce carbon emissions by investing in energy
efficient or low carbon technology on a 50% match funding basis.
The UKSPF Energy Saving Grants scheme was launched on 18th July and
following an expression of interest (EOI) and application process,
it is proposed to award funding to 11 businesses. Due to their high
energy use priority has been given to hospitality
businesses.
Awarded projects include
modernisation of heating systems, installation of solar panels and
associated battery storage, and provision of energy efficient
lighting solutions.
