About

The functions of the Schools' Forum include the following:-   To advise the Local Authority (LA) on the disposition of the School's Budget for the financial year; and the LA to seek comments from the Schools' Forum on proposed changes to the Schools' Budget formulae; and

For the LA to consult the Schools' Forum annually in respect of functions relating to the schools budget, in connection with special educational needs; arrangements for use of pupil referral units and the education of children not attending school; early years provision; administrative arrangements for the allocation of central government grants; arrangements for free school meals; and any other matters concerning the funding of schools.   The membership of the Schools Forum comprises of representatives from the following groups:-   Nursery Schools; Special Schools; Primary Maintained Head teachers; Primary Maintained Governors; Secondary Maintained Head teachers; Lincolnshire Teaching and Learning Centre; Secondary Academies (Head teachers and Governors); Primary Academies (Head teachers and Governors; Alternative Provision Academy; Faith Group; Providers of 16 -19 Education; Staff Trade Unions; Early Years Providers   Meetings of the Schools' Forum are on a quarterly basis, usually at 1.00 p.m.  They are held virtually with the exception of the January meeting which is held at County Offices, Newland, Lincoln LN1 1YL. The meetings are generally open to the public, unless otherwise specified.
