Purpose

The Multi Coloured Manual is a tool to assist
local authorities with flood and coastal erosion risk management.
The Council has a requirement for the manual to be updated to
include Farm and Agricultural land and review of the costs of
groundwater flood impacts.
The Multi Coloured Manual is owned, copyrighted and maintained by
Middlesex University and as such the Council is unable to follow
the normal procurement process and therefore approval for a direct
award under Paragraph 4.1 (Exceptions to Normal Tendering Routes)
of the Council’s Contract & Procurement Procedure Rules
is sought.
The cost of the current contract is £136,500.
This work is to update the existing contract to include
Buckinghamshire Council for which a contribution has been provide
by them. The additional cost is £69,500 giving a new total of
£206,000
