Purpose
• The Council’s Executive on 8th
February 2022 approved the re-commissioning of the ALD Service to
commence 1st September 2022 for an initial term of three years,
with an option to an extend for up to two years to 31st August
2027.
• The Council’s Executive on 8th February 2022 also
approved that authority be delegated to the Executive Director of
Children’s Services, in consultation with the Executive
Councillor for Children’s Services, Community Safety and
Procurement, to take all decisions necessary to conduct and
expression of interest process, award and enter into an agreement
for the delivery of an ALD Service.
• The ALD Service was re-commissioned via an expression of
interest to Lincolnshire special schools and academies within the
Lincolnshire SEND Alliance. Delivered via a public to public
Co-operation Agreement with Gosberton House Academy (the same
provider under the previous agreement) acting as the lead provider
for the Working Together Team (WTT).
• The ALD Service agreement commenced 1st September 2022 and
the initial term is due to end on 31st August 2025. The annual
value of the contract is £617,500 per annum. An extension of
up to two years to 31st August 2027 is allowed for in the
contractual terms and conditions.
Decision
The Executive Director for Children’s
Services, in consultation with the Executive Councillor for
Children’s Services, Community Safety, Procurement and
Migration approves the extension of the agreement with Gosberton
House Academy for the delivery of BOSS. The extension will be for
up to a maximum of two years from 1st September 2025 to 31st August
2027. The annual value of the extension will be £617,500
(excluding VAT) and the total value of the extension will be
£1,235,000 (excluding VAT).
