Purpose
Following the recent rainfall on the 5th and
6th of January 2025 numerous properties and large areas within
Lincolnshire suffered from the effects of wide scale flooding. As a
result, the Council in its capacity as the Lead Local Flood
Authority, must undertake flood investigations as required by
Section 19 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
GeoSmart have previous experience of conducting S19 investigations
with Lincolnshire County Council and other local authorities, were
competent in their approach and provided competitive pricing. The
total cost of awarding the additional work package for this
contract is £92,200 plus vat

To approve the award of a contract to GeoSmart
to deliver the Section 19 Flood Investigation Reports following
recent flooding events which took place on the 5th and 6th of
