Decision

1.   
That the Government intentions for the requirement of Local
Government Reorganisation across two-tier areas of local government
in England be noted.

 
2.   
That the Government timelines for Local Government Reorganisation
in Lincolnshire be noted, including:
 

a)   
The request from Government to submit an interim plan for local
government reorganisation in Lincolnshire by 21 March 2025; and
 

b)   
The statutory invitation to the County Council, City, District and
Borough Councils including North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire to submit proposals for a
single tier of local government by 28 November 2025.
 
3.   
That a proactive approach and development of
proposals for a single tier of Local Government for Lincolnshire
(unitary local government) including North and North East Lincolnshire by 28 November 2025, be
approved.

 
4.   
That the Chief Executive be authorised to engage
with Lincolnshire councils to develop proposals for a single tier
of Local Government for Lincolnshire (unitary local government)
including North and North East
Lincolnshire by 28 November 2025.
 
5.   
That the submission of the interim plan (appendix B
to the report) to Government by 21 March 2025 for a single tier of
Local Government (unitary local government) be agreed.
