Full council record
Purpose
• Following investigations at the above
mentioned location it was found that during peak school drop
off/pick up times there are vehicles parked/waiting on the double
yellow lines reducing the safety and effectiveness of the School
Crossing Patrol.
• The introduction of a formal Traffic Regulation Order will
discourage parking/waiting on the no loading markings and enable
civil parking enforcement officers to issue Penalty Charge Notices
where appropriate.
• The proposals will facilitate traffic flow, ensure all
accesses are kept clear, improve the safety and visibility of the
School Crossing Patrol as well as improving visibility and road
safety for all users.
• Therefore, it is proposed to prohibit waiting and loading as
set out on the Plans to the Order. • The Chief Constable and
City of Lincoln Council have been consulted, along with other local
groups/companies.
