Purpose
• When comparing the conditions to the
current speed limit policy, 30mph and 40mph speed limits are
recommended.
• Therefore, in accordance with the County Council’s
Policy, it is proposed to introduce 30mph and 40mph speed limits as
per the schedule in the Order.
• The Chief Constable, Pinchbeck Parish Council and South
Holland District Council have been consulted, along with other
local groups/companies.
Decision
The LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL in exercise of
their powers under Sections 84 (1) and (2) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as "the Act") and of
all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief
Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the
Act hereby make the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Lincolnshire County Council
(Pinchbeck, Glenside South and North Gate) (30mph & 40mph Speed
Limits) Order 20 and shall come into operation on 20.
2. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding
30mph on the length of road within the terminal points as specified
in the Schedule 1 to this Order.
3. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding
40mph on the length of road specified in the Schedule 2 to this
Order.
4. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling
within regulation 3 (4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special
Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in
accordance with regulation 3 (5) of those regulations.
