Purpose

• When comparing the conditions to the
current speed limit policy, a 30mph speed limit is
recommended.
• Therefore, in accordance with the County Councils Speed
Limit Policy, it is proposed to introduce a speed limit as per the
schedule to the Order.
• The Chief Constable, Weston Hills Parish Council and South
Holland District Council have been consulted, along with other
local groups/companies.

Decision

The LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL in exercise of
their powers under Sections 84 (1) and (2) and Part IV of Schedule
9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to
as "the Act") and of all other enabling powers, after consultation
with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of
Schedule 9 to the Act hereby make the following Order:-

1. This Order may be cited as the Lincolnshire County Council
(Weston Hills, Broadgate) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2025 and shall
come into operation on 2025.
2. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding
30mph on the length of road specified in the Schedule to this
Order.
3. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling
within regulation 3 (4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special
Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in
accordance with regulation 3 (5) of those regulations.
4. Any existing restriction or requirement made or having effect as
if made under the Act of 1984 is hereby revoked insofar as it
relates to the lengths and sides of the roads specified in this
Order.
