Decision
1.
That the use of Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA)
and the Investigatory Powers Act (IPA) for the period 1 January
2024 to 31 December 2024 be noted.

That the revised RIPA policy appended to the report as Appendix 1
be approved.
3.
That the ongoing training of officers as detailed in the policy and
outcome of the 2024 inspection from the Investigatory Powers
Commissioner’s Officer (IPCO) be supported.
4.
That authority be delegated to the Chief Legal Officer to update
the list of Authorising Officers, make any minor or legislative
amendments to the policy, and to update the application forms when
