Decision
- That the top 20 potential revenue savings at Appendix A and 10 highest capital receipts (outside top 20 highest revenue savings at Appendix B to the report) be noted.
- That the Council’s three-year Property Rationalisation Programme as detailed at Appendix C of the report be approved.
- That authority be delegated to the Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director – Resources, in consultation with the Executive Councillor for Growth, to take all decisions necessary to dispose of the properties identified in the Property Rationalisation Programme as ‘disposal planned’, including determining the terms and conditions of each disposal and the entering into of all necessary legal agreements.
- That the remainder of the properties identified in the Property Rationalisation Programme, save for those listed in recommendation 6 below, will each be the subject if an options appraisal or review.
- Subject to the Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director for Resources, in consultation with the Executive Councillor for Growth, being satisfied that such options appraisals justifies disposal, authorises the Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director – Resources, in further consultation with the Executive Councillor for Growth, to take all decisions necessary to dispose of such remaining properties identified in the Property Rationalisation Programme, save those referred to in recommendation 6 below, including determining the terms and conditions of each disposal and the entering into of all necessary legal agreements.
- That a separate strategy in relation to the properties detailed in the Property Rationalisation Programme that concern Travellers’ sites and Windmills, will be developed for Executive approval in due course.
