Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee

The Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee scrutinises services and policies relating to children’s services, throughout Medway. Its remit includes early years, education, youth justice, social care, children and family services and scrutiny of children’s health.   This committee was established on 24 November 2010.  Prior to this, the committee has previously been called: - ·        Children and Adults Overview and Scrutiny Committee – May 2008 – November 2010 ·        Children’s Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee – January 2006 – April 2008 ·        Education and Lifelong Learning Overview and Scrutiny Committee – May 2003 – December 2005 ·        Youth and Education Overview and Scrutiny Committee – November 2001 – March 2003
