Decision
1.
To temporarily increase the establishment until
March 2025, in line with expectations established through the approved UKSPF
Investment Plan, to include the following roles:
a.
Community Co-ordinator (Village and Town):
0.5 FTE To work within the communities directorate to
support co-ordination of activity with community groups, parish councils and
other parties to support developing better links across our rural communities,
developing volunteering activities within the borough.
b.
Environmental Team Operative (Town Centre):
to work on a day-to-day basis alongside existing resources and with community
groups to support greening and general environmental quality improvements to
the town centre and surrounding areas
c.
Communications Officer: 0.4 FTE to
support delivery of communications relating to UKSPF outcomes and achievements
as well as working with internal officers and partners to support broader place
marketing and inward investment campaigns.
d.
Inward Investment Officer: to work with
partners including the countywide place marketing organisation, agents, and
landowners, to promote Melton as a place to grow or relocate your business too.
Will take a lead on all inward investment activity including developing literature
to attract those into the area and work as a single point of contact for any
inward investment enquiries generated through this work. Also responsible for
working with landowners to bring employment land forward and working with town
centre partners to explore opportunities to attract inward investment into the
area. Will be employed by MBC whilst being embedded within the countywide PMO
to ensure Melton can benefit from all opportunities identified at the county
level.
e.
Economic Development Officer: 0.15FTE
extended hrs during term time to support delivery of UKSPF programme
interventions relation to Business grants, place marketing, Business support
programme and some town centre initiatives. To be funded through excess admin
pot from USKPF.
f.
Work and Skills Delivery coordinator: to
support delivery of People and Skills priority through Community Support Hub.
Working with Community Support hub mentors and undertake employer engagement
activity to reach those furthest from the workforce and support them back into
long term employment.
g.
Senior Mentor to take on full management
responsibility for the Community Support Hub.
h.
Honoraria for existing band 4 admin post to
support with releasing capacity for reduced existing mentors
To freeze two full time Mentor posts under the Customer and
Communities team in Housing and Communities for the duration that the Work and
Skills Delivery Co-ordinator and Senior Mentor are in post. The UKSPF will be
responsible for funding the difference between the frozen roles and those
identified within section F,G and H
