The Cabinet had before it a
report * from the Deputy Chief Executive (S151) presenting the
National Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR) 1 for 2026/27 (also known as
Business Rate).
  
RESOLVED that Cabinet recommend
to Council that:
 

The
calculation of the NNDR1 net yield of £22,047,906 from 3,606
business rated properties
be NOTED and APPROVED for
2026/27.
The
proportions distributed to the respective authorities and Central
Government be allocated as per the statutory
regulations.
Members NOTE that Central Government would
reimburse the Council through a Section 31 grant to compensate it
for the reduction in collectable business rates as a result of introducing new reliefs and five
multipliers.
Members NOTE the changes to the Business Rates
Discretionary Relief Policy.
