The Cabinet had before it a report * from the Head of Housing and Health providing the updated policy on Private Sector Housing Fees, Charges and the use of Financial Penalties for Housing Act Offences including the Renters’ Rights Act 2026 – 2029.

The Cabinet Member for Housing, Asset and Property Services outlined the contents of the report with particular reference to the following:

The updated Policy on Private Sector Housing Fees, Charges and the use of Financial Penalties for Housing Act Offences including the Renters’ Rights Act 2026-2029, as set out in Annex A as recommended by the Homes Policy Development Group be ADOPTED.
