the Constitution.
Public Speaking at Planning and District Planning
Committees: Those wishing to speak on items recommended for
approval or refusal, including Ward Members, need to register with
Democratic Services by emailing committees@midsussex.gov.uk by
1pm three working days prior to the meeting (i.e. by 1pm
Monday for a meeting taking place on Thursday). Please indicate if
you are intending to speak for or against the application. There
are a limited number of speakers allowed for each item. Following
registration, any members of the public with a right to speak will
be briefed on how they make their contribution. Speakers must send
a copy of their proposed remarks via email to:
committees@midsussex.gov.uk by 10am on the day prior to the
meeting.
During the meeting, when invited to do so by
the Chairman, the speaker may make their statement orally to the
committee.
Please note that public speakers are not
permitted for any items being considered under the ‘Other
Matters’ section of the agenda.
Observing a District Planning

Council’s YouTube

or Committee Meeting, you must reserve your place by 4pm on the
working day prior to the meeting by completing this
Registration Form.
Late Written
Representations: The latest time
that written representations to members can be made prior to the
meeting is 10.00am the working day before the meeting (i.e 10am Wednesday for a meeting taking place on
Thursday of the same week). If received by this time, they will be
acknowledged as written representations and placed on the public
file.
