Purpose

To consider approving the allocated funding
and procurement of the next stage of traffic signals upgrades
across the city, including the use of innovative AI performance
technology as a central control system for all new traffic
signals.

Content

1.         That the
purchase of the TRL SCOOT signal network optimisation software product and specialist
support, via a direct award through the TTAS procurement framework,
and its deployment across the city, be approved.

2.         That
the resource
allocation and spend approval in the 2025/26 capital programme for the upgrade of traffic signal control
equipment at the remaining three junctions in Central Milton Keynes
which currently cannot accommodate the SCOOT system, be
approved.
