RESOLVED:
1. This Council requests that
the executive, with relevant officers, seek wherever possible to
negotiate contracts with developers on the basis that they will not
appoint or establish private sector management companies to run
services such as, for example, streetlighting, landscaping, and
sign repair on the estates they build, or parts thereof unless the
residents in that area wholly own the management companies that it
oversees.
2.
This Council asks the Executive to diligently follow all
recommendations from the task and finish group on Adoptions to
ensure transparency and accountability in the management of
community facilities.
