Purpose

To consider approving fit-out works to the
first floor and home library service facilities at Central Library,
building on the initial internal work to move both the children's
and reference libraries.

Content

1.         That the
resource allocation and spend approval of £647k in the
Capital Programme be approved over 2025/26 and 2026/27 to allow
further fit-out works to Milton Keynes Central Library to
commence.

2.         That
additional resource allocation and spend approval of £408k be
approved from the Tariff Programme, and expenditure previously
planned for 2030/31 be brought forward to 2025/26.

3.         That the
variation of the current construction works contract, with Ashe
Construction Limited, for Milton Keynes Central Library to
incorporate these additional works, be approved.
