RESOLVED –

1.     
That the Committee noted the
following updates:
a)    
the number of complaints
received and progressed;
b)    
the outcomes of the inaugural
meeting of the Council’s Independent Persons;
c)     
available and recently
delivered training; and
d)    
the Committee’s ongoing
work on social media guidance and civility.

2.     
That the proposed changes to
Council Procedure Rules regarding participation in the event of
‘Other’ or ‘Non’ Registerable Interests be
noted, and that the Committee endorse mandatory refresher training
for all Councillors to be undertaken before the end of June
2024.

3.     
That the Committee recommended
offering a standing invitation to the Independent Persons for
future Standards Committee meetings.

4.     
That the Committee agreed that
a refresh of the Council’s Hearing Sub-Committee Procedures
be undertaken during the 2024/25 Council year.

5.     
That the Director of Law and
Governance be requested to consider how training resources for
Parish, Town and Community Councils should be utilised.
