RESOLVED –
1. That the report be
noted;
2.
That in respect of Standards/Code of Conduct training for Ward
Councillors, the Chair and Vice Chairs, in conjunction with the
Monitoring Officer, be recommended to formalise the frequency of
training, with an emphasis on:
a)
the point of election; and
b)
at the time of significant change to the Code of Conduct;
3.
That Milton Keynes City Council be recommended to provide support
to Parish and Town Councils with respect to their governance and
Code of Conduct issues; and
4.
That officers be recommended to investigate a method of displaying
the relevant training records for Councillors via the Committee
Management System.
