The Chair welcomed
those present to the meeting and asked that the Committee’s
thanks be placed on record to Hazel Lewis and Richard Lancaster,
who had delivered a private session on cybersecurity ahead of the
meeting.

The Chair also advised
that he had attended a training session provided by the Local
Government Association (LGA), at which MKCC was commended for its
approach to the Audit Committee. Following this, it was suggested
that, in conjunction with the Vice Chairs and lead officers, a
method be found to ensure that only Councillors who had attended
dedicated Audit training were eligible to sit as members of the
Committee.
