Purpose

To consider commencing a procurement exercise for the Council’s future Education Software solution (from April 2028).

Decision

1. That the commencement of a procurement exercise to appoint a contractor for the future provision, support and maintenance of the Council's Education Software solution for a five-year period commencing on 1 April 2028, be approved.
2. That authority be delegated to the Director of Children's Services, in consultation with the Cabinet member for Children and Young People and the Director of Finance and Resources, to award the contract to the successful bidder following completion of the procurement exercise.
