Purpose

To consider and approve the demolition of Serpentine Court in Bletchley.

Decision

1. That the public and press be excluded from the meeting by virtue of Paragraph 3 (Information relating to the Financial or Business Affairs of the Authority) of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, in order that the meeting may consider the exempt Annex to the report.
2. That the existing Lakes regeneration construction contract with GRAHAM Construction be varied to include utility and infrastructure diversions, the demolition and removal of spoil at Serpentine Court, and establishment of the meanwhile use on the vacated site under the provision of Regulation 72(1)(b) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015(PCR 2015).
3. That authority be delegated to the Director Environment and Property to finalise and enter a variation of the current contract, subject to:

(a)        a modification notice setting out the nature and value of the variation being published in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015; and

(b)       the Deed of Variation not taking effect until at least 30 days after publication of the notice, unless the Director of Legal and Governance advises that earlier implementation is necessary to address a material operational, safety or asset protection risk.
