Purpose

To consider changes to the Statement of Community Involvement (how we tell people about planning applications that we have received, and the preparation of planning policy documents).

Decision

RESOLVED:

1. 1    That an updated Statement of Community Involvement (attached at Annex A) be agreed and take effect from 31 October 2026.
2. 2    That authority be delegated to the Director of Planning and Placemaking to make minor grammatical and layout amendments as needed prior to its publication on the Council’s website.
3. 3    That footnote 3 of Table 1 of the Statement of Community Involvement be amended to read “General consultation bodies would be notified when the content of the document will be relevant to that body or the group(s) it represents. For example, the MK Forum has a direct interest in all Conservation Area Reviews and the New Town Heritage Register and would be consulted on these documents.”
